Once a new CSI Secure Connect page has been created, Administrators have the ability edit it as necessary. To make changes to a page, follow these simple steps.
1. Click the Pages
icon along the top of your screen. Select the page you want
to edit.
2. When the page
you chose appears on the screen, click the dropdown arrow to the left
of the page title and select Edit Page.
3. The Edit Page
Content screen will appear. This screen may look different depending on
the type of page you have chosen and how it was originally designed. Each
edit screen will have options regarding where on the page to addcontent,
page statistics, notification services and page view.
To select any of the options under the Page Content section, click the checkbox in front of the option. Click the Update Page button to save any changes you make to this section.
The Page Content options include:
· To
publish this page for others to view, click the checkbox and Update Page
NOTE: When a new CSI
SecureConnect page is created, it is not
automatically published. Unpublished pages always display with a paper
and pencil icon beside the heading under the Page icon dropdown. This
means that most users cannot see the page while it is under construction.
To publish the new page for others to view, check the box beside “To publish
this page for others to view, click the checkbox and Update Page” on the
Edit Page Content screen. Then click the Update Page button in the middle
of the screen.
· To have this page open in a new window, click the checkbox and Update Page
· Hide Page Name on page
· Hide Last Updated Date on page
· Show child pages on the bottom of the page
· Enables users to comment on this page
· Marks this page as a board packet and allows tagging
· Choose a date for this page to be removed from the Book section on the home page
Check the boxes under the Page Statistics section to view statistics related to the page. Click the Update Page button to save any changes you make to this section.
The Page Statistics boxes include:
· Enable Page Stats: allows Site Administrators or users with page security to see statistical reporting for that page
· Show HitCount on page: enables anyone who visits the page to see the hit counter located at the bottom of the screen
Check the boxes under the Notification Services section to customize your page notification capabilities. Click the Update Page button to save any changes you make to this section.
The Notification Services options include:
· Allow
users to Subscribe to email notification of new content.
Once a page is published, an email will be sent to subscribed users each
time it is changed.
· Suppress the details from the notification.
· Click the Send a manual notification link to email Site Administrators a list of users who are subscribed to the page.
The View Page section is where you can add content to the desired location on the page. You can also edit the information currently on the page by clicking the pencil and paper icon beside the item.
Once you have completed adding or editing the page information, click the Save Layout button to save your changes. If you want to delete a current page item, check the checkbox beside the item and click Delete Selected Item(s).
The Order Content section is where you can adjust the order of materials on a page. Simply hover your mouse over the materials you want to move, click and drag to the new position. The page will remain with the new layout even after closing.
