Failed Login report

This report will show the failed login attempts for either employees or customers. It will show the User Name and Name of the employee or customer who had a failed login attempt, the activity that was attempted, date/time that activity was attempted and the IP address that it was attempted from.

It can be filtered by date, activity attempted, user name, and name. Each of these Report By options has a checkbox, which controls the search fields associated with each one. When you choose to filter by date, the Start Date and End Date fields are displayed, but dates do not have to be entered to generate a report.

You can run the report as either detailed or summarized report, with the summarized report grouping by user and activity attempted.

When you choose to filter by Activity Attempted, a dropdown is displayed that lists the specific login activity that could lead to a failed login:

When you choose to filter by User Name, a search field is displayed; this search field is not case-sensitive, and a user name does not have to be entered to generate a report.

When you choose to filter by Name, a search field is displayed; this field is not case-sensitive, and you may search using all or part of the name. The Name field is not required to generate a report.

These search fields can be used together to maximize filtering capabilities.

Detailed Report for Employees

The Employees Detail report displays the time the activity was attempted in the Activity Date column.


Summary Report for Employees

The Summary report for employees will group results by Username and total the number of failed logins:

Activity Attempted options for Customers Detail and Customers Summary include options such as Security Call (when a user chooses to authenticate via phone call but authentication is not completed), Security App Push (when a user chooses to authenticate via the mobile app, but the attempt is unsuccessful), and Security SMS Code (when a user chooses to authenticate via passcode but enters an invalid passcode), as well as other possibilities for a failed login.

The Customers Detail report also displays the time the activity was attempted in the Activity Date column.

The Customers Detail and Summary reports display an IP address when trying to validate an authentication code:
