Best Practices for the Day to Day Use of CSI Fraud Anomaly Detection

  1. Banks should have at least 1-2 bank employees that are designated to review potential fraudulent sessions daily.
  2. We recommend that those employees have their FAD email alerts turned on within the Digital Banking admin site. This will allow the bank real time alerts when an individual breaks their anomalous point cap.
  3. The "Over the Cap" section of the Overview Tab should be reviewed on a regular basis (recommended daily) and anomalous sessions should be marked as either Valid or Fraudulent to show that the session in question has undergone review by the bank.
  4. Fraudulent sessions that have been identified by a bank employee should undergo the normal procedures at the bank for mitigating potential fraud.
  5. Point values should be evaluated on a routine basis by each bank, to ensure that any new potential risks are considered in the point distributions. This ensures that the system is always giving highest priority to those areas that pose the most risk to the bank.
