New User Setup
The New User Setup process is used when you want to establish a CSIeSafe account to send or store secure messages/attachments. If you received an email invitation from your financial institution or other trusted sender, you do not have to complete these steps. You can proceed directly to the login process. Your username is the email address to which the invitation link was sent. The invitation email also contains a temporary password for your first login.
To open a CSIeSafe account:
Enter https://www.csiesafe.com into your web browser and click Enter. The CSIeSafe Login screen (Home page) will display.
Click on the New User tab at the top of the page or the New User link below the Current Members Login information.
Enter a valid email address in the Email Address/Username text box and respond to the captcha security prompt.
Click Continue.
An Email Confirmation message will display:
Log in to your email account and open the "Welcome New User" email from CSIeSafe. The email you received will contain your username (email address) and temporary password.
Use the link in the email to go to the CSIeSafe website (https://www.csiesafe.com) and login to complete the setup process.
a. Enter the username and password provided in the email.
b. Click Login.
c. Review the Secure MSG User AgreementSecure MSG User Agreement and click I Accept.
You will be prompted to enter Required Personal Information and create a new password.
a. Your email address is used as the username to ensure no duplicates can occur.
b. The phone number you provide can be used for further verification of your username.
c. Passwords must be at least eight (8) characters and must contain numbers (0-9) and letters (A-Z, a-z), but cannot contain spaces or special characters. Strong passwords are encouraged.
Click Create.
Click OK on the confirmation message.
Your account has now been created, and you will be immediately directed to your CSIeSafe Inbox unless Advanced Security (multi-factor identification) has been enabled. If it has been enabled, follow the procedure below.
Complete User Setup when Advanced Security has been Enabled
If advanced security (multi-factor authentication) is enabled, you will have the following additional steps to complete your new user setup. These steps will authenticate your Email address and recognize the PC you are working from.
Immediately after the user account has been created for you, a message will display in CSIeSafe stating that an email has been sent to your email account to verify your identity. Click Close.
Login to your regular email account and open the "Security Setup" email message from Computer Services, Inc.
Click on the link within the message to confirm that email can be received using the given email address.
The computer accessing CSIeSafe will now be "trusted."
If the PC will be accessing CSIeSafe frequently, select the Install Token radio button.
If the token does not need to be installed, choose the Just Log In radio button.
NOTE: The "Just Log In" option should always be selected when using someone else's PC.
Enter your username and password in the text boxes and click Submit.
If "Install Token" was selected, a message will display stating that the secure token has been set up.
The CSIeSafe Inbox will then display on your screen.
